Auxiliary verbs - Essere and Avere

I verbi ausiliari sono quei verbi che, oltre ad avere un significato autonomo, vengono utilizzati in combinazione con altri verbi.

Essere e Avere permettono la formazione di tutti i tempi verbali composti come il passato, ad esempio.

Auxiliary verbs are those verbs that, in addition to having an autonomous meaning, are used in combination with other verbs. To be and to have allow the formation of all compound verb tenses such as the past, for example.

Essere - To be

Io sono                 I am

Tu sei                   You are

Lui/Lei è              He/She is

Noi siamo            We are

Voi siete               You are

Loro sono            They are

Avere- To have

Io ho                     I have

Tu hai                   You have

Lui/Lei ha            He/She has

Noi abbiamo        We have

Voi avete              You have

Loro hanno          They have

Esempi di frasi con il verbo “essere” - Example sentences with the verb “to be”

– Io sono italiano – I am italian
– Tu sei alta – You are tall
– Lei è brava a cucinare – She is good at coocking
– Noi siamo stanchi. - We are tired
– Voi siete simpatici. - You are nice
– Loro sono felici. - They are happy

Esempi di frasi con il verbo “avere”- Example sentences with the verb “to have”

– Io ho una macchina. - I have a car
– Tu hai un gatto. - You have a cat
– Lei ha fame. - She is hungry
– Noi abbiamo sete. - We are thirsty
– Voi avete freddo – You are cold
– Loro hanno paura. - They are scared

Imparali molto bene perché  questi verbi li userai praticamente in ogni frase.

Learn them very well because you will use these verbs in practically every sentence.
